We Reach Picture Lock

We have reached a major milestone in the post- production of our documentary: picture lock. After working on a series of “rough cuts,” our film editors assembled a fine cut that brings together all the scenes of the film in the exact order and duration we think tells Athenia’s story most effectively. With each scene timed out, our composer now can create a music score and sound design that will enhance the cinematic experience. This means if we change the timing of any scene, we risk upsetting the timing of the entire music score, hence the importance of “locking” all the scenes in place. Of course, there are many more steps to take in the post-production process, but this one is critical.
