Filming on the USS Midway
We film re-enactments aboard the USS Midway Museum, a World War II-era aircraft carrier permanently docked in San Diego. Friend and neighbor Mary Ann Driscoll and her niece Hanna stand in for the women and children who made up three-fourths of Athenia’s passengers. The brief scenes will be used in an Internet trailer advertising Tom’s historical novel about the Athenia, Without Warning, and in our Sizzle Reel. Cinematographer Julio Valle helps with the filming.
