CROWFUNDING SUCCESS

Our 30-day Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for Athenia’s Last Voyage comes to a successful close. More than 90 people helped us raise in excess of $14,000, which is 140% of our original goal. We are extremely gratified by this response. We posted videos nearly every day of the campaign (Meghan Courtney interview screenshot, below). The campaign helped us build a buzz for our documentary. Now we have funds to sustain us as we research historic photos and film footage and begin a rough edit for the film. We also will consider more reenactments and 3-D animations. Before we can finish, however, we will need to raise additional funds through filmmaking grants and investors.
